Re: Anybody use these spindles ?

I did a quick Google search through a bunch of forums. Reviews are generally positive.

Apparently Street Edge merged with Suspension Source. Pictures of Nissan Hardbody spindles of theirs look EXACTLY like the BellTech ones I installed way back. Might be the same source, or a quality casting rip off.

Most of the dropped spindles I have used were WAY over-engineered and substantial compared to OEM. Probably bulking them up to be less likely to fail.

I remember a few years back there was a competitor to BellTech called Chassis Tech. They sold spindles quite a bit cheaper. The casting quality and alignment wasn't as good as BellTech, but some of the BellTech spindles I've used weren't all that and a bag of Whiskas either. Chassis Tech appears to be gone, but probably replaced by Street Edge among others.

If you can get a good deal, try them!

Chassis Tech was AIM Industries, and they sold absolute garbage. Google AIM, Chassis Tech, or AIRbagit.com and read all the complaints.

Re: Anybody use these spindles ?

I spent a little extra and got Western Chassis spindles. $250 shipped on ebay, quality was pretty good. Fits 15x8 rallies no problem, even my 15x9.5 Nascar wheels fit without issue.

Good advice. Also check the Forum Vendors for deals on name brand products.

Re: Anybody use these spindles ?

i used Street Edge parts on my 95. i also became a dealer for them recently.
you cant beat their pricing. and i was told that their spindles and belltech are made by the same foundry. using the same mold.

Re: Anybody use these spindles ?

You have to be careful on buying spindles, certain designs won't allow you to run 15" wheels. If the tie rod arm is straight out from the side it will hit the wheel. Better designs like the Western Chassis will have the arm swept back slightly towards the center of the truck allows you to run almost any wheel including stock 15"s. This was an issue raised in another old thread and why I purchased the Western Chassis product.
