Cam 12560968 2000 'vette

I have looked here and there and everywhere and i am not able to locate much info...

I am under the impression that these cams for the 2000 vette (GM part number 12560968) are the cam to have for a mild upgrade. great on the power curve and plenty of fun. i also know that it was a 110$ cam for a while and thus they have blown off the shelves and GM is no longer offering them.... AT ALL

Seeing as how they are or rather were a very popular upgrade, I am not able to locate a GM cam. I would have also figured that one of the major cam mfgr's would have offered a cam with the same grind or at the very least a very similar grind. Again i am unable to locate such a cam.

does anyone know of a cam by the major after market cam mfgr's that has the same or similar grind that would be a good swap for an 03 4.8 or 5.3 and please provide a part number i can search.

Before you get all confused, YES i have both a 4.8 and a 5.3 from 2003 truck and a suburban. I have not decided which one i want to torture yet. The target truck is a 72 Luv that i have lost interest in. I am thinking slap the 4.8 in it, slap a turbo on it, spank it hard and then sell it. my newest acquisition is a 68 c20 that i need to make room for.

I just want to have a little fun without a major build or major upgrades. seems the cam is the easiest and sometimes the most cost effective upgrade. bang for the buck as it were.

thanks in advance.
