Dakota Digital dbw cruise
Just finished install of Dakota Digital drive-by-wire-cruise CRC-1000. Works as advertised on short test drive. Will be trying trip within next couple of weeks.
Only con if you call it that, is that the connecting cables supplied have long wires so you could do an inside engine compartment for controller. Wish they had a short wire option. |

Re: Dakota Digital dbw cruise
I have thought about investing in this as well, but my Dakota dash is ran through my OBD port. Dakota says to use a splitter but I dont trust that both will operate with a splitter.

Re: Dakota Digital dbw cruise
Didn't mention - mine is a 'connect and cruise' GM package. I could find ant documentation for this package to connect cruise.
I read the posted link and it said it was for a cable cable throttle body - mine is drive by wire. |

posts 14, 15, 18 and 19 on just the first page completely walks through a DBW install (which is actually way easier than DBC) |

Re: Dakota Digital dbw cruise
Trouble is, my gm package doesn't have a TAC module. It only has the main computer computer and a transmission computer.

Re: Dakota Digital dbw cruise
FYI Went on a road trip and unit worked fine. Kept speed within 1 mph up and down some and down some fairly steep hills.
Another plus is that it connects with the existing brake light switch. It does require ground through brake lights like GM unit. So a relay is required for led brake lights. |
