1976 gmc swap right gas tank to left side needs?
I am getting a box that is set up for a dr side tank and I need to replace the rt side tank anyway, can I use the mounts and straps on the dr side and just get a dr side tank?1976 gmc sierra grande long box 2wd ,I don't want dual tanks,

The tank and straps can go on either side of the truck. I'm not sure that is everything you are asking, but that is what i got.

So the frame brackets are the same also?The straps are rotted off and will be replaced.

The frame brackets will switch from side to side. Visually they are the same. The only difference is the rear bracket has one of the welded nuts in a different position from left to right. This isn't an issue as you can just nut it yourself if need be or if you have a welder just tack the nut on in the needed position.
