Re: Df2 option

It's listed as a separate option so could be had on a non-CST k5. DF2s included on promo pack highlanders but an option on CST. A CST was equipped w base mirrors.

Re: Df2 option

You bet Dave and I wholeheartedly agee. IMO the base mirrors are too small and the campers a tad too big. It's curious that the below eyeline mirrors were not an available option.

Re: Df2 option

i was talking with my dad yesterday and i had a thought. i bet the Chevy dealer would install the below eyeline mirrors as a dealer accessory.
there is an old GMC dealer nearby. in fact, his dealership building was just sold and is being torn down soon. i'm going to ask him. i know they sold a pantload of trucks there over the years. they were in business for 77 years. lost their GM franchise in the downsize a few years back.

Re: Df2 option

That is certainly possible. My gmc had base mirrors replaced with true camper mirrors albeit painted not stainless and used the correct "p" door screws. The door holes for the base mirrors are plugged with the base mirror screws trimmed by ferrules akin to those on 72 door panel screws. I've always wondered if the camper mirrors were on this one owner gmc were dealer added. It spent its life within 10 miles or so from the now defunct dealership until I hauled it away.
