66 c10 lower ball joint seal

Stupid question. Does ball joint seal get pressed on at same tim from bottom or get pressed on from top after ball joint on?

It goes on from the top after the balljoint has been pressed into the arm.

oh good. i thought so. does the spindle hold it in place? wasnt sure how far on the ball joint that the dust boot sits on.

Once the spindle is installed the boot won't be able to fall off of course, but it should be well seated at the base. Some of the cheaper balljoints/boots don't fit together too well.
