Re: Lsx swap cooling
Your sorta in the right place..be better in the LS swap section....Assuming you previously had a v8 in your truck the LS will hook up just like a smallblock..stock radiator will cool just fine..bottom hose from bottom of radiator to intake side of water pump..upper hose from top of engine to top of radiator..make sure you hook up the heater hoses or at least run a hose loop across the fittings (dont ask me why but its what i was told to do,, some people have trouble with over heating due to thermo not seeing hot water to open,, some people dont have any problems)..also you have a steam tube to deal with..this can be done several ways,, i drilled and tapped a 1/8" npt in top of the water pump near the outlet fitting and connected steam tube to it..once you hook up all your hoses remove the top hose from the radiator side and fill the engine with coolant, , this will get all the air out.hook hose back up and fill radiator..

Re: Lsx swap cooling
We also make radiators here in the USA using domestically sourced materials by hand to fit your truck (and we can put the inlet / outlet wherever you need at no additional charge, including the steam port). They are all tig welded, no epoxy or glue either. Plus, we are a site sponsor. Let me know if you are interested.

Re: Lsx swap cooling
Check out my thread to see how I ended up doing my cooling system when I swapped a 5.3 into an 86 C10. I used the stock C10 radiator, stock 5.3 truck hoses, and machines my own coolant bypass. You can buy these now or use TBSS heater hoses with it already built in, so no need to make one. Pretty easy setup.
