1960 c10 5.3 swap help!
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and this is the first forum I have ever been on so sorry if I'm in the wrong area. I have a 1960 c10 witch seems to be the worst year cause I can't find anything on this truck. All the ls swap kits are for 62 and above. Any help would be great. Any info about my year would be great. This truck was my grandpas and has 20k miles only. It's a really cool truck and I'm super excited I got it now.

Welcome to the board. I moved you to the 60-66 area, so maybe some folks can enlighten you on the issues you are facing.

hello ls swaps in the 60-62 trucks not much different than 63-66 we just have less room cause of the torsion bars and its crossmember.... lots of guys update the suspension crossmember from the 73-87 truck. including me I just needed more room for the 4l80e trans. goodluck on your project and yes you are at the right place........oh we also need lots of pics.

It's a straight 6 and I really want a 5.3 vortex motor in there but if anyone is in utah I'll be selling g the motor soon.

I have a 4.8/4l60e in my 65 and absolutely love it!!
If my truck would have been like yours? I would have thrown a 7004r or 5speed stick in it for driving pleasure and be done with her... Your truck, make her yours!

Thank you, I have a shop I go to in slc that had a 2001 tahoe that I'm taking everything out of that I need.
