Different glovebox emblem

I've seen lots of plastic painted or chromed plastic glovebox emblems but this one I have never seen before. Its metal in brushed satin finish with black paint in the lowered background.

Anyone seen one like it? And what do you know about them?
Post up pics of any unusual glovebox emblems.

I probably should have done a search to see if anyone else has posted this but heres the pic.

Re: Different glovebox emblem

We're bringing this back up because this truck I'm working on had one and I want to get one myself. they're cool.
Could be a dealer had them made special...
Could be a certain year or assembly plant had them made...

Looking for knowledge, if you have one or know about them, lets hear.

My buddy Chad said that someone he remembers had one that was made of metal but didn't have the bowties just the chevrolet name.

So if you know something about these...

Re: Different glovebox emblem

I'd like to find an aluminum one as well... would like to know if available.

If not, do you have the measurements? Particularly, the upper distance, lower distance and width. Any measurements help...Might be able to run some (.125") 5052 aluminum through a CNC router to replicate.

I'm in also. That just has a really cool look to it and is different, but not so different that it does not look natural.

Re: Different glovebox emblem

I went out this AM and used a dial Mic just in case on the glove box door that has the holes for the emblem.
The area that the emblem sits in is no more than 1.250" in width.
If you went with 1.375" (1-3/8") width it would sit outside that area.
I also placed a pic of the profile side view.
Maybe they are supposed to sit above that profile, I don't really know.
