Very nice. Looks similar to one I saw at a car show here in Alberta recently.

Re: all i can say is wow
Thanks for posting. Early flint Jimmy w a double wall top. Good documentation.
Also has a rear carpet strip installed up front. That's how my St. Louis blazer was shipped from GM.

Re: all i can say is wow
Pete, My blazer also has the rear carpet strip up front.
How can you prove that it has original paint? Now that I look at it up close on my computer and not my phone I can see some of the flaws. It looked perfect on my 3 inch screen, LOL |

Wow, I would have drove out there for that one. I have a soft spot for the pale yellows.

Re: all i can say is wow
I always love how sellers list this type of vehicle as "Like new!", when they have small dents in the bumper, slight rusting of the wheels, and an undercarriage that looks like its covered in oil/grease. I've never bought a new vehicle with these conditions.
Yes, this truck "looks" nice, but there's a few things that stand out to me. Looks to be a recent outside respray. The chrome seems a bit too shiny and the paint a little too glossy to be original vs the interior and undercarriage condition. The trim doesn't line up very well along the passenger door, although, it could be from sagging rockers. And what's up with the missing tach? If it seems too good to be true...

Re: all i can say is wow
I questioned the paint as well, the rubber tailgate strap bumpers where painted over. Just seemed odd.

Re: all i can say is wow
Very nice Blazer, no doubt. But a couple more things I noticed about the ochre Blazer that make me doubt the complete originality of it:
1) Driver rear side marker aging is not consistent with rest of truck. 2) Black border around mirrors. Never seen that. 3) Gravel shields are painted body color. Should be black. 4) Auto column shift indicator and pointer painted column color. Should be black. 5) Glovebox door arm painted body color. Should be black. 6) Tailgate square rubber bumpers are painted. Should be black. 7) Tailgate handle wear not consistent with rest of truck. 8) Faded hub dials not consistent with rest of truck. |

I did, however, notice that it wasn't a Blazer.

Re: all i can say is wow
Not trying to be a PITA but to clarify:
Rear bumper gravel shields are painted body color OEM - I have a blue example here and pulled an ochre set from an original paint blazer Non tilt column indicator housing does match column color for 72, I have a saddle column here w saddle housing and here is green example: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...59&postcount=1 Glove box arms are correct in body color but black is also correct Tailgate bumpers were painted body color - same on the original paint 72 k1500 here and I have edp coating under those I just removed from the blue 72 blazer indicating install prior to paint. As shown from the rear carpet strips installed up front variations can exist from vehicle to vehicle. Anyone w survivor k5s please post pics to this thread we can use as reference for future builds http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=584788 Antenna on the ochre blazer isn't correct

What's it worth? Whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I know this, though - with the current price of Blazers, I couldn't afford to sell mine and buy another one. Not that I ever plan to sell mine anyway...

Re: all i can say is wow
What is the consensus on the exhaust on from the muffler back? Original?
Clearly original (IMHO) manifold to muffler. If it is all original, it's the best visual documentation of a factory single exhaust that I've seen. I had a difficult time reproducing this. Parts manual shows a cylindrical muffler, which is what we went with...but it's reasonable to me that an oval profile muffler could have been a factory correct variant. What's of most interest to me is the correct bends/exit angle/tip profile of the tale pipe. Thoughts? PS Gorgeous example regardless.

Re: all i can say is wow
Extremely nice example. If I had an empty garage spot I'd be headed to Texas to see it in person and possibly bring it home. I don't know about the rest of the country but the fact that it is a GMC in that kind of shape is extremely rare.

Re: all i can say is wow
The wealth of info on this board amazes me everyday! Some of you guys here know these trucks and blazers better than the folks the designed and built them im sure.
And just wanted to drop this pic of my non tilt indicator and pointer on my 72 (truck, not blazer...but none the less) it matches Im wondering about the lack of chalk marks too. And why the paint looks so good but the console lid is worn, doeant really match imo. And also the inside of the tailgate being scuffed compared to the rest of the paint.
