Backspacing question for 8 lug C20

I just got a 71 C20 with aluminum 16.5 wheels on it which I'd like to replace. I searched the forum here and I like the look of the 265/75/16 on 16x8 combo up front. So for you guys who are running this setup, can you tell me what your backspacing is? Thanks.

I've got 16 x 7 F#rd van rims that have a backspace of 4 3/4"

These wheels came off of my Brother-in-Laws '88 Suburban. They are 16x6.5 with 4.5 back spacing running 245/75/16.

I ran 265 75 16 on my 70 GMC 2500 on Alcoa 16x7 rims and that was a good fit. The backspacing was 4" I believe which would be zero offset on a 7" rim.

In general, zero offset a good fit on these trucks all around. My '69 short step has 17x8 4.5" bs front and 17x9 5" bs rear. In both instances this is zero offset.
That means the wheel mounting surface (WMS) is equal distance from the front of the rim and back of the rim.

Wheel width is measured between the beads but backspace is measured from the actual overall width of the rim which is usually 1/2" or close enough to use that #.

Offset is the distance that the WMS is displaced from the centerline. Positive offset is what you see on front drive cars where there is a lot of backspace relative to width while negative offset is what you see on most rear vintage rear drive cars.

265 75 16 are 31.6" in OD give or take a little. They have a 10.4" section width. A 255 85 16 is 10" section width and 33" tall. A 285 75 16 is 11.2" section and is 32.8" tall.

I found the 265 75 16 an excellent fit on my C2500 big block truck with disc conversion and the Dana 60 on leafs in the rear. I ran ECE 1 1/2" lowering shackles in the back for a more level look without changing anything else.

Acorn, those Wheel Vintiques are the ones I've been looking at. I want the black powder coated - I think they'd look cool in black with those same hubcaps that you have Did you find those hub caps on ebay or did you already have them? Thanks guys!

They come powder coated black. I painted mine white. Before the paint even dried, I remember thinking 'dang, maybe I should have left them black...just to see what they looked like....) Oh well, it's just a work truck.
I have bought,sold,traded, to many parts over the years to remember where I got the hubcaps from. I do know that the price of them seems to be going through the roof lately so I usually take them off whenever I go to the big city so they don't get stolen.
