72 K20 AAW HEI Harness question

Just wondering if anyone knows what the connector that comes out of the harness next to the red distributor wire is for?

I think it's for the oil pressure sender if you don't have gauges.....?

I believe this is correct. One was attached to my harness from M&H as well. Take a look at the colored schematic and you'll see the dark blue wire is for oil pressure.

I see, so of your vehicle had "dummy" lights, this would connect to the oil pressure sending unit?

correct...I put one on my K5.......really cleaned up the hacked up engine harness that was on it....I just laid that wire down in the intake out of the way.....
