Jeep tank blazer unit
So I decided to go with the jeep tank since it is supposed to be easy to install and no major mods really needed. yes its small but I don't drive that far so I don't mind. After looking and looking and trying to follow closely what others have done, I bought the 87 blazer sending unit and I notice the float hits. since orientation is fixed on top, what are you guys doing?

Re: Jeep tank blazer unit
i think there is two different sizes for the blazer sending unit. A 20+ gal and a 30+ gal one. maybe you got the bigger one?

Re: Jeep tank blazer unit
I did find this in another post:
"Yes, I plan on just capping off the unused return line. The Blazer sending unit is 0-90 ohms so it will work fine with earlier fuel gauge setups. The only thing I needed to modify on the sender was to cut the locking tabs off. They were putting the sender in the jeep tank at a location that was causing the float to hit the internal baffle of the tank. With the two tabs cut off I could turn the sender unit to center the float in the tank." Posted via Mobile Device |
