BB A/C and header help!!!!!
We were going to use the stock exhaust manifolds but now the that motor needs a complete rebuild, UGH, I would like to go with headers. I want to retain the factory a/c compressor and brackets. I've noticed guys using the Chevelle headers for ground clearance which is what I'm leaning towards.
What works????? Part # maybe???? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rich

Re: BB A/C and header help!!!!!
I don't have a/c yet and not sure how the headers would interfere with the brackets or lines but just finished the install of my 454 bbc and used Sanderson bb8 mid length headers. They worked great.
I will say that I wish they didn't point the drivers side header basically straight at the ground. But otherwise the clearance is just what I needed. There are lots of threads with people showing pics of the bb8's on here if you are interested.

Re: BB A/C and header help!!!!!
I put hooker 2455 long tubes on my 69. They are for a chevelle and required a little modification but nothing terrible. Im running a 4 speed so it may be different with and auto. There are no clearance issues and my truck is lowered 5 inches.
