Some advice on front cab supports please....
Hi guys...finally gotten around to starting the rust repair on the Alabama cab...I replaced the pass side front support it was 1/3 gone and was a pain in the butt...the drivers side has only 2 bad spots as shown....should I just patch? With the lack lustre fitment of the after market panels I think I may have answered my own question...here's a pic..thanx for any advice in advance ...63 Swb c10 micro buck build

If the rest is solid I would patch it. I am all for replacing as little original steel as I can.

Lots of foul words today....there was more rust than anticipated...had to use the other repro piece....totally misfit and actually too short with bending the ears ever so slightly ...has anyone ever run into this issue?

I had the same problem. I ended up spot welding in some L shaped prices to make up for the short support.

+1 for the "L" shaped pieces on all four cab mounts.

Seems like it's short on one side only since the long support it goes to is angled...L shaped brackets it is!
