700 R4, what are they worth?
I'm pulling a 700R4 out of my 84 K10 to put in a 350 turbo. It shifts good, don't know mileage, fluid looks good. Hoping to sell it to help buy parts, need the adapter kit for one. What are they bringing? I was going to stick it on Craigslist for $250, but is that to much? I haven't seen one sell in years, used to be they'd bring good money, but not so much now. Hope to sell it here local, what do you think?

Re: 700 R4, what are they worth?
1984 700r4's aren't worth much at all. Just weak units. Why are you pulling it? Seems like a lot of work if it's fine.
in 1986 I think it was GM beefed them up. Even though I still bought my 1989 at the junk yard for $50.

The '84 has the weaker 27 spline shaft. They are not very desirable.

Re: 700 R4, what are they worth?
Kinda figured that. Pulling it because the 350 is about shot. I have a 454, .030 over that I'm going to install, and with the 3.08 gears, 11.50 tires, I don't figure it'd last very long. Don't really need OD with this set up, to much money to beef the 700 up to hold any power.
