It came out of the Fremont Ca plant and has been here its whole life. He says its rust free. I see some light rust around the heater core area on the firewall.

Re: Opinions on this truck

If you are after a basic have fun truck, looks pretty good.

I see wire holding the glove box door sort of closed, a missing passenger window crank, bent hood, bent front bumper, possible small dent on driver's side bed and bed, cab lines on that side seem off(could be picture lighting artifact). And what are the wires on the turn signal stem about?

The stains around the heater core and hoses could be body rust or rust stains left from old antifreeze when the heater core gave out.

Of course, the shorter the squawk list, the higher the price tends to be.

I saw all that. The "wires" on the turn stem are colored hair bands. I have the pics on my computer in real size. The front grill is missing the bottom left cross bar, the front drivers wheel well is missing part of the fender flair, its missing some of the rope tie downs. On the interior, it has a cracked dash pad at the steering wheel, the gauge bezel is cracked there as well. The passenger door is missing the arm pad and it does not hac A/C!

Re: Opinions on this truck

I'm finding it hard to believe it only has 65K miles on it!

Re: Opinions on this truck

That mileage might be right but with all the new stuff I'm betting it should have a 1 or 2 in front of the 65k...although I bought my 81 a couple years ago with 22,600 actual and verified miles on it..mine came from a local fire dept...stored inside its whole life..
