66 Steering wheel on 73-87 column?

Is it possible to fit a stock 66 Chevy truck steering wheel to a 73-87 Chevy truck column? If so, how would I do that?

Re: 66 Steering wheel on 73-87 column?

the wheel fits the spline. I put a 65 nova wheel on a 77 camaro column. I had to turn the mounting flange down to clear the lock wheel on the newer column. I also had to drill a new hole for the horn wire connector to come through the older wheel. The mount flange on the old wheel usually isnt wide enough to cover the lock wheel cover on the newer column i painted every thing in the same color when i did mine so it isnt obvious. Hope this helps.
