Hey Guys,

Looking for some input, I've got a pulse on 3100 short beds, but I'm curious on the demand for panel vans? Are they a bit "rarer" than our 3100s? Curious what a typical 47-54 panel van with normal rust issues and in general condition goes for? Thanks for your input.

From what I've seen since I have owned mine,,, They are the "Red Headed Step Children" I have seen a very solid 54 advertised here in my local area for months on end for $1500 With a running 350/700r included .. From what I heard thru the grapevine it sold for $700..

Mine was the solidest I have seen yet to this day and so bone stock it hurt. Mine had both Seats and not a mark in them It came stuffed full of new replacement parts I gave $4g..

I have seen running driving panels on ebay with c4 front and rear suspensions only do $10 grand..

I have seen several times on the bay, the longer 36-3800 projects bring more than the 3100..\

I would say if you know the going rate on the trucks, figure about half that for a panel..

Yes I would say they are a lot more rare than the trucks but as they say "Rare does not mean more valuable"

I'd think 67GMCkid pretty well nailed it. It is a small market for them and demand is much lower outside of that market.

I'd love to have a panel or a burb to go along with my truck but at my age getting the projects I have done may be a challenge.

Years ago I had a 57 panel with a built 327 that was a lot of fun and was pretty handy as we camped in it and Hauled parts to swap meets in it. If I built one I would build one that got good gas mileage so I could road trip it though. There is a plus to being able to take just about what ever you want to and lock it up in the back out of site and out of mind.
