Help with paint code, medium olive green.
I would like to get paint to repaint the bed of my truck and would like to get the paint from my local NAPA. Can anyone help me with the paint code for them to mix it? They tell me they don't have information back to 1970. Thanks

Re: Help with paint code, medium olive green.
Here it is directly from original napa book. Let me know if you need any other pictures. I would assume they can convert these to modern paint codes
Sorry for the neck breaker photo I forgot to rotate before converting Richard .

Re: Help with paint code, medium olive green.
Glad to help. I thought I had lost my books but found them just as I was giving up.

Re: Help with paint code, medium olive green.
If they mix it for you, be sure to test the color match before you go to large-scale spraying. This particular color has been an issue getting correctly matched using older color codes with newer paint chemistry. You can search the board for problems with matching 504 medium olive green to see some examples.

Re: Help with paint code, medium olive green.
Nice truck
I just had my original medium truck repainted. And had read the threads on this paint color I wasn't originally going to repainted the inside. So I also wanted everything to match. My paint guy took the glove box and had the inside matched We then tested it and it matched quite well These old poly colors are not always easy to duplicate So defiantly make sure you do a test sample. Since there was some fading issues, I ended up doing the interior too. Only because, I was already so close to a total repainted. It made sense Good luck |
