Transmission mounted parking brake diagram needed

Hello folks,

I'm trying to re-assemble the drum style parking brake on the rear of the 4 speed transmission and neither my assembly or service manual have a diagram to show how it goes together. I'm pretty sure I've seen that diagram posted somewhere on this board before but I can't seem to find it.

If anyone has one, could you please post it or maybe e-mail me a copy, or direct me to where it can be found.

Thanks!

Re: Transmission mounted parking brake diagram needed

You might find it associated with a SM-420 or an SM-465 transmission diagram. These type brakes were mounted on these transmissions when used on a 1 ton or heavier truck.

Re: Transmission mounted parking brake diagram needed

I have 2 1964 C20 pickups equipped with this parking brake setup. One truck is a single wheel rear axle with a fleetside bed. The other one is a dually with a flatbed.
