dash swap

question... will a 73-80 dash fit on a 82 .. really like the gauge and dash setup on the 73-80..

Yes it will, but you'll have to use the bezel and trim for that dash.

Mounting should be the same. But I do believe the bezels are specific to the year group.
The pads are 73-78, 79-80, 81-87
The bezels are 73-80, 81-83, 84-87

The early gauges with the ammeter are not going to work easily. Direct replacement will likely let the smoke out of your wiring. Later 70's gauges with the voltmeter will work but you will have to be sure the pin outs are correct. Do your home work.

I'm going with Dakota digital so I shouldn't run into the ammeter issue..but thx for the heads up
really dig the older style dashes...
