Crank sensor relearn
I put an LS3 in (GM eRod), and it seems to run just fine. It included a coupon for a free GM dealership "Crank sensor relearn" procedure.
What's the benefit? What's the downside if I never do it? Is this an emissions thing, a driveability thing, or what?

Re: Crank sensor relearn
no major downside to not doing it. They include the coupon because some swaps won't run right without it being done. It resets the crank angle sensor 0 and makes sure its in phase with the cam position sensors. My swap didn't need one, many don't.
