Radiator Support
I am having some issues with my radiator support and am talking to two guys that have a lot of experience with them.
One says there should be a piece of steel across the top of the support that is welded in place. The other guy says GMC had a closed support, and chevy's was open at the top Mine is U shaped with nothing across the top and can not see where a piece would go Who is correct |

Re: Radiator Support
The bottoms of the Chevy and GMC core supports are a lot different.
The GMC being angled down more to reach the lower mounting point on the crossmember. The chevy also has the angle piece across the top that I don't believe has You can see it on the Chevy units in the photo even though they are upside down. I've had and also worked on a lot of AD Chevys that had had that cross piece removed when the engine was pulled an wasn't put back when the engine was put back.

Re: Radiator Support
Yep. I see the angle that runs across the top. When I look at the two that I have, it looks like something has been cut off of both of them
