AC help on a 86 with factory air

Ok I'm in the process of trying to get my my AC working on my 86, the truck was a 4.3 v6 truck but now has a 350, it has the compressor, condenser, lines, etc but doesn't have the blue hose on the selector. Where is the actual connection for the heat/AC valve on the system? I haven't taken the box apart yet so it so I'm thinking it maybe there due to not seeing a fitting outside of it. I've plumbed in the vacuum line that comes out of the firewall and my pods are working but that's as far as I've gotten, any info or pics would be appreciated.
