Anyone know if the wind lace channel around the door is available to buy? Looks like some of you don't install the wind lace...any problems leaving it off?

At least one vendor has the channel for your 53.

I think LMC is calling them cab weatherstrip retainers but may be wrong.

It's best to shop around a bit and also compare what the total of the parts and the shipping come to.

Side note Nor Cal Gal I see you are in my aunt's old stomping grounds. She managed a BOA branch there for a number of years.

Mr48chev interesting tid bit about your aunt. The town has grown a lot in recent years. Kind of miss the old days when everyone knew each other.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
