Performance Tire Suggestion
Looking for decent performance tire.
Going to run 18x8 American Racing Rims Wanted a non-typical truck tire. Something low profile in the 235/50/18 size range. Any first hand knowledge would be appreciated Thanks |

Re: Performance Tire Suggestion
Depending on what you're after, there are some great tires available in that size. For a decent all around tire, the BFG F-Force Sport Comp2 (340 treadwear) is a great performance tire for the money. It's softer than the typical Radial T\A but could leave some on the table for some real performance driving, track days and autocross and the like.
I'm running the Hankook Ventus R-S4 (200 treadwear) on my truck in a 275/40/18 and they work surprisingly well on the old truck but they are not for cold or wet weather driving. I did not see the R-S4 available in the size that you are after but the treadwear rating of them makes them an awesome tire. |

Re: Performance Tire Suggestion
I like some of the Nitto offerings in larger diameter wheels. 555's and 555r's are great. Nto5 and NT05rs for track use.

Re: Performance Tire Suggestion
Bridgestone re760. I know alot of mustang guys who run them and they work great. I put a set on my 65 c10 and love them. I will never run a different tire except for a drag radial for track use.

Re: Performance Tire Suggestion
I've run Khumos on my 18s (on an Impala SS) for awhile. I'm upping to 20s, and going with the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s this time.
