71 c-10 a/c wiring
I'm converting my 71 c-10 from non a/c to a/c. I have already hung the heater/condenser box under the hood. i have a fuse box from a factory a/c truck and i hope all the wiring. do I need to change the fuse box and all the wiring or just add it to my current fuse box? and does anyone have a diagram for under the dash so i can hook it up and get the heater working until spring when I can get the a/c working

Should not have to change the fuse block. Should be able to plug and play

Re: 71 c-10 a/c wiring
According to the wiring diagram in the electrical section the green wires go to the dash connector and the other goes to the fuse block.
The AC wiring should be seperate from the main wiring harness if I remember correctly. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...185856&page=16

Re: 71 c-10 a/c wiring
I don't see any green wires from the heater switch.
You need to look at the wiring schematic that I posted it shows all the wires and colors.

Here’s a picture of it maybe it’s brown but being shades colorblind looks dark green to me (don’t ever let me defuse a bomb lol) but this wire goes to the ignition switch. Do I need it any more going to the factory a/c with original harness

The brown wire goes to the fuse panel to get power per the schematic but if it's getting power from the key switch then it's fine. Blue,Yellow, Orange go to the heater resister. Then the orange wire goes to blower motor.

Ok found the home for that wire it needed to be on the switch, but as rusted as that terminal on my old control was I didn’t think it needed one. Thanks
