Back seat question.
My 72 Blazer and that has a bar that goes across the back of the back seat that attaches to the outer brackets, and then the two seat belts in the middle of the seat attach to that. No holes in floor and easy to attach the belts. I don't know if they all have this bar, or just some of them.
Does anybody know where I can find this bar? I guess I could make it myself, but if it is a factory part I would rather just find the factory part. I am thinking if it is part of the seat then maybe people don't want to sell it separate. |

Re: Back seat question.
The seat belts in my '72 Jimmy attach to the "feet" that hold the seat in. There are 4 of them. Outer bolts attach to the outer feet, inner belts to the inner feet. Not sure about the bar, but doesn't sound stock.

Re: Back seat question.
I believe the seatbelts attach to the feet only in the two inner centers originally. I have several feet and some have threaded nuts and some don’t. I think the outer belts attached to the seat itself. I will be using all four feet with holes to attach my belts as I think they are stronger. I’ve never seen a bar. Someone probably built it. Check the floor there should be 4 holes that each of the feet attach to in the rear.

Re: Back seat question.
I'm not sure if original but all of the 72 blazers I have parted have only had outside legs.

Re: Back seat question.
There are 4 captive nuts welded into the tub for the feet in the 3 different trucks I hve owned.

Re: Back seat question.
I am trying to find out about the seat because I installed a third row seat in my 72 suburban. Suburbans don't have a metal tub, they have a plywood floor.

Re: Back seat question.
Maybe ask in the Suburban thread? I've got a '72 3/4 ton Sub but it didn't have the third row seat when I got it.

Re: Back seat question.
Thanks for all the feedback. I might just copy the bar and make another one.
