Does anybody recognize this picture? know who I might contact to get info on it? or know where I can get one like it? I really like it and want one like it!
Thanks for any help anyone can give to help me get one? Heck, there's gotta be SOMEONE on here who could make one, for pay of course!

Re: dual snorkel air cleaner--recognize???

I wish they made stock looking dual snorkel air cleaners. The L79 or whatever doesnt look so good and only comes in chrome.
But that air cleaner is probably made by someone with crafty skills.

Re: dual snorkel air cleaner--recognize???

I agree that it looks fabricated. To me it looks like someone took a typical aftermarket chrome air cleaner, made a metal wrap around and added two chrome exhaust tips for snorkels.

Re: dual snorkel air cleaner--recognize???

I've built a couple of factory appearing dual snorkels, one for Duallyjam's GMC and one for MalibuKasey's "283".

I shortened a couple of the dimples over the added snorkel to mimick the way the factory stamped the lids around the original snorkel.

And you could sell the black 283 units for latter model 4 barrels. I think I asked about that previously. Looks fantastic.

Re: dual snorkel air cleaner--recognize???

Nice work, astronaut! Was it powdercoated? One question. Does enough air get to the carb for a daily driver with snorkels? Im using an ooen element right now but would like something more original looking( thats why I painted my chrome ooen element black lol). Cost of making something like that?
Thanks

Thanks! I painted it. Kasey's truck has no problem laying stripes with the air cleaner on. I don't remember what I charged to make those, and both of them already had the donor lids needed. Somewhere arouind $175 labor to add the second snorkel, or $350 if you want it stripped/straightened/primed/painted.
