New owner of a 62
What's going on fellas? Just stumbled across this site a few days ago and I'm glad I did. Looks like one heck of a resource for my overwhelming project I just acquired haha.
I fell into a 62 shortbed that has already been most of the way disassembled. I have been into cars for a while, and I am a mechanic by trade, but have never done an ounce of body work in all my life. I have been craving a truck build for a few years now, as I was in a Subaru before and was tired of the small motor and turbo building. The tuning was becoming way too complicated for me! hah. Anyway, I'm sure I'll be leaning on you guys quite a bit for the next few years.. I'm glad to have found this community. I'll get my build thread posted up soon. |

Cool!
Glad to see another 60-66 getting saved! I have a 67 and 68, but like all years. Early 60's are so simplistic in design. No intentions of them EVER being Cowboy Cadillac's, just work vehicles! |
