question about swapping stepside tailgates
do any of you all know if the older tailgates can be used on our stepsides and if so what do I need to modify?
I like the GMC lettering on the 55-59 and would like to use that tailgate if possible

I believe they are interchange from 1954-1987 I know the bed wood changed and the back panel had different holes.

I have a '77 that is the same as 55-66 so I assume it's the same for 67-72 also.
