Wiper Blade Size 47-53

I just got my Newport Engineering 12V factory replacement wiper motor and I need some information about what wiper blade size I need. The new motor will be hooked up once I remove the old vacuum unit in my 1952 Chevy pickup.

I will be hopefully using my OEM wiper arms but I'm not sure what blade size I need. Looking on the LMC website they list 9" and 10" blades in different styles.

Looks like there is a OEM style arm and a Snap-in style wiper arm and a OEM style blade and snap-in style blade.

Should I ditch the OEM wiper arm and change to the snap-in style? I want something that will snug up against the widow good and have easy blade changes if required.

Thank you.

Re: Wiper Blade Size 47-53

I put newer snap-in arms and the 10" blades with the newport motor. The setup works the best it can but is still like a joke compared to modern equiptment. Dont forget the rainX if you acyually drive in bad weather.

Re: Wiper Blade Size 47-53

Rock auto shows 11 inch https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...per+blade,8852

They also have the arms listed in another listing.

Blades and arms have to match as far as how the blade connects to the end of the arm.

I'll run out and measure one on one of the trucks in a few to be sure

Thanks for the input guys. Like I said I have the original OEM arms. I guess I might swap them out for the newer snap-in style. I just dont want a arm going flying off when driving down the road.

Re: Wiper Blade Size 47-53

They stay on pretty tight most of the time but I have had them fly off. Usually when doing about 80 passing a truck going the other way.

I've got replacement arms that I shortened with I think MG blades on my chopped windshield. I worked in a parts house and had access to the wiper blade and arm books when I did that.
