moving a blazer top on a pickup

i bought a double wall top with a hatch and im wanting to move it with a pickup. im thinking put it on the bed like a camper. im wondering if anybody has ever done it and how it was done. im thinking i would want it on ‘backwards’ with the hatch against the cab. but im kind of at a loss on how it would attach to the bed since the bolts come up from the bottom. any advice is appreciated. thx

C clamps should do the trick.

I hauled a couple but used 2- 2x4s across the bedsides and screwed blocking on the ends to keep if from sliding off the sides. I then strapped the top to the bed rails, would be better if you had anchor points in the bed somewhere. The ratchet always ended up at the window so I would slide cardboard in there to keep it from damaging anything. Depending on the bed width it may try to suck the sides in so blocking on the inside on the 2x4s would be a plus there. I made the first set at the junkyard with my cordless tools only took a couple of minutes. I can get a picture of the set I have if it doesn't make sense.

Double wall will be trickier than Single Wall.

Single Wall - you can use C-Clamps or camper block clamps to hold the top to the bedsides of the truck.

Double Wall - would benefit from the way 1rippen6 did it with 2x4s and bracing.

I did it the same way as rippen. I hauled a single wall that way and my trip was at least 2 hrs and no problems.
