Single wall hold down strap
Can any one tell me if ALL single wall tops came with hold down straps? Do the CST models have different pieces? If there is a difference does anyone have any pictures?
thanks |

Re: Single wall hold down strap
I had 2 different leg lengths on the straps before. I posted pictures with both side by side I'll see if I can find it. My theory is the short leg one is for CST so it doesn't hit the panel channel. The one with the longer leg for none CST blazers.

So does this look like the CST pieces then? Has the shirt leg.

Re: Single wall hold down strap
I would say so since this one is a non CST. You can see how much longer the left side of mine is vs yours
.

Re: Single wall hold down strap
I just went out to the garage to look at my '72 K5. Even though mine is a base model non CST, mine still has the CST style hold downs. I wonder if it's because mine was built in June of 1972? I do know that my truck is a two owner unrestored and untouched original.

Re: Single wall hold down strap
That late in production they were probably using up what was left.
