proportioning valve

Hi, I've tried searching this and can't seem to find anything. I have an 86K10 4x4 that I'm swapping a dana 60 from the early 90's. Where my issue lies is with the proportioning valve. the current 10 bolt has 2 lines coming out of the factory valve and going to each caliper on the axle. The 60 that I am swapping in has a single line coming to roughly the middle of the axle and then teeing off from there. All the valves I seem to come across are dual outputs for the front. Has anyone swapped in a dodge 60 keeping the single axle feed and if so what did you do for a proportioning valve.

Craig

Re: proportioning valve

You can plug one of the unused front outlet ports in the combination valve. I believe it takes a Weatherhead # 131x3 (or equivalent) plug.

Many of the 1971 & 1972 GM trucks were plumbed like that from the factory ... they had one of the front outlet ports plumbed to an external Tee fitting and a plug in the other unused front outlet port. Both front ports are joined directly together inside the valve so plugging one off and using a Tee fitting to split the left & right front lines works the same as running separate left & right lines from the valve to the calipers.
