Lower air bag cup seating to high
I'm going with a manual paddle air ride system and go the front airbags together and mocked up and its appears the lower "cup" that sits in the existing spring pocket is too high. Can someone share what they have done oor a quick pick of how low I can go if I have to cut it? Thanks in advance
P.S. What size tank shall I run 3 or 5 gallon? |

Re: Lower air bag cup seating to high
Most of us on stock arms cup the lower arm to allow the bag to compress into the arm. The cups that sit in the arm aren't going to get you very low. Here are mine that I cupped.

I did the same as Indychus with my lower control arms. I also have a 5 gallon tank with dual Viair 444c compressors. I would not want a smaller tank.

Cupping the arms also allows you to adjust the angle and position of the bottom of the bag to get it well aligned with the top and in the center of the bag height at ride height.

Re: Lower air bag cup seating to high
Very true. I actually left the LCAs attached when cutting, aligning with bags, and welding in the cups. It was a major pain in the ass doing it this way, but I know the bags are not all wonky.
