Rear window weatherstrip
I need to get the rear door glass installed in my '51 panel truck. My glass shop says to get the one-piece seals rather than the bulk roll. Unfortunately the one-piece cost FIVE TIMES as much as the roll. Nice they can throw away my money!
I imagine a pickup rear glass is much the same as a panel. What did you guys do, single piece or split roll? How'd it work out? Do I really need to spend $105 for two window seals or can I get by with the roll?

Re: Rear window weatherstrip
ive seen to many bulk roll seals used on cars...with age the gap opens up where the ends meet..my old truck had about a inch gap in it where the ends met....if it were mine id suck it up and go one piece...its easy for me to spend your money to.....

If you're paying to have them installed buy the good seals and only pay for the labor once. It will cost more to do it twice.

Ditto on previous post. Get the best you can. I have found todays rubber products wanting in quality and durability. Those from China are virtually wortless IMHO.
