Worn out leaf springs
Hey guys. My first post. I have been reading for a couple years. I have a 1972 GMC LWB. Recently did a flip kit in the rear. One side is lower and hits the axle occasionally. Can anyone recommend where to buy replacement rear leaf springs. (Stock height - 5 leaf of 4/1) I want to get this fixed before my 5.3 arrives in the 15th. Thanks

Re: Worn out leaf springs
If you haven't already replaced them, worn/crushed bushings can also be a culprit.

Re: Worn out leaf springs
Thanks for the help. I will check the bushings before I throw out $450. I really appreciate all the help now and all your other posts.

See if you can find a spring shop close to you and price having new ones made. Go to a big truck repair shop and ask who makes and repairs springs in your area. LockDoc

Re: Worn out leaf springs
I bought my replacements at autoandtrucksptings.com They had the best price and shipping for my area. Once you get a part number, search that number and see where your best price is.

Re: Worn out leaf springs
Looks like I have the 22-409. They do not carry them on that site. Only the 4WD version. They are slightly different. Thank you

Re: Worn out leaf springs
I found the 22-409 at generalspringkc.com for $159 each. Everybody else was over $200 each. Hope this helps.
