how do I wire this?

I got an original gage cluster with a clock in it for my 81 SWB and it came with no wiring for the clock. It has 2 prongs on the back. How was it originally wired? Thanks

One goes to ground, one goes to a port on your fuse block with constant power, even when the key is out of the truck. You'll know if you have the polarity crossed if your going back in time rather than forwards

Cool Thanks. One more thing, do they use so little power that they don't drain the battery. Also, I am going to install a aftermarket radio that needs constant power to keep the presets and its clock will they both where out the battery? Thanks again

You really should'nt have any dead battery prob's as the amp draw is so low for radio memory, and the clock. Go for it!

Its just an electric motor that powers it all and a complex system of gears to get the time just right, what happens if you plug a motor in backwards? It goes backwards So yeah, its the exact same with the little clock, you hook it up backwards it goes backwards

but if ya hook it up wrong you could just put aftermarket numbers on it backwards and it would work fine!
