New owner of 56 task force
Hey All,
Im the proud new owner of a 56 chevy task force truck, been my dream truck since i was 6, still have the hotwheels truck that started my dream..lol Plan was to put a 8.1L big block i have from a 03 avalanche i had, but i figured out that only 1 company makes performance parts for it, so scrapped that and instead bought a wrecked 2010 camaro with an LS3 engine from copart, gonna build it to around 580hp, bolt it to a 4l80e. Bought a 12 bolt truck rear end, im gonna throw posi gears and narrow it as well as inboard the leaf springs to fit 12" wheels and tires. Bought a boxing kit for the frame and some tubular x-members. Relocating fuel tank to behind the rear axle. Bought a 55 bel air dash that im gonna install, also bought a big back window cause mine is a small window, so thats gonna be some serious work. Hoping to have the frame and suspension work done this year and fingers crossed be driving it by december 2020.... |
