350 4 bolt engines
What's the going rate on 350 4 bolts (1st gen) nowadays? I have 2 or 3 extra's pretty much complete minus accessories that were running /driving when I pulled them. Would still consider them to need rebuild/ refreshing

Re: 350 4 bolt engines
Richard,
It all depends on whether it is a virgin block that has not previously been rebuilt and if it can be rebuilt i.e. no cracks, lifter bores good, with or without heads, exhaust manifolds etc. Believe it of not, there are not a lot of 4 bolt 350 2 piece rear seal blocks that are any good around my neck of the woods anymore. A lot were gobbled up by the stock car racers over the years and a lot of them are approaching 40 - 50 years in age. In any event, I paid $200 for a short block. Obviously I then had to put money into it for magnifluxing and a machine shop determination that it was good to build it .030 over, new pistons, new scat crank, reconditioned stock rods, cam, rigs, bearings timing set, lifters, other heads I had redone with hardened exhaust seats, valves, knurling if needed etc. etc. If your engines have all the stuff that 67-72 Chevy truck restorers are going to need such as exhaust manifolds, pan, heads, intake, pulleys, PS brackets, alt. brackets etc., then I would think $500 would be fair, if it hasn't been previously bored. Might want to pull a head and measure the bore so that a prospective purchaser would be pretty certain, at least from a bore stand point, that it is useable.

Re: 350 4 bolt engines
Thanks for the reply Rick. I just got realizing how many i have sitting here that i don't need. lol They were all pulled from this era trucks other than one that i am not sure about. It came with a 72 Blazer that I parted and was already out of the truck. I may pull that one up and go thru it to get all the numbers and info I can get and go ahead posting it.

Re: 350 4 bolt engines
Still have some more info to get on them
The one that came with the 72 blazer is an 80-85 350 4 bolt block casting#14010207 and the head#482824 with V0713FRH on front of block the one out of the 71 GMC 2wd is listed as a 70 350 block 4 bolt block casting#3970010 with K0416TBC on the front of the block have not got head # yet The one I pulled from the 69 GMC 2wd comes up 69 350 4 bolt block casting#3932386 and has V0906WH stamped on front of block The Nasty Z28 site has this listed as a 300-350hp block from factory
