Tourque converter recommendation

I have a 71 c10. We put in an ls2 out of a 06 gto. Long story short the transmission was shot and to have it rebuild. I need to install a new tourque converter. After the unexpected transmission rebuild cost my budget is tight. What is everyone using that is cost effective and reliable. The motor is pretty much stock and if I do anything to it it would be a small cam. The transmission is stage 2 porformabuilt.
Should I stick with stock gto?
I've read about the trailblazer l6?
What's everyones thoughts.
It will see the track a time or two but mostly just a bomb around truck.

Re: Tourque converter recommendation

it's hard to beat the trailblazer TC for the money, especially for a stock or mild cam.
