Brake lights stay on

Hey all

It’s me with a new and frustrating problem with my 76 C10. New wiring harness installed and everything seems to be working for the most part except the brake lights stay on constantly.

The brakes work fine so it must be something to do with the wiring. The switch behind the pedal seems ok but i did remove it when doing the wiring and out the new on me in. How can I check for adjustments on this?

Anything else it could be?

Re: Brake lights stay on

The switch should be pushed in when the brake pedal is retracted. You should be able to see it if you look up under the dash. if it isn't, adjust it down til it is depressed when the pedal is retracted
