55.2-59 A few trucks at the Poulsbo Wa car show 9/7/19

We are over here for a mini vacation that my wife planned and there was a car show in town today. Not many trucks and no AD trucks but here are the Chevy GMC trucks that were there..

There were two TF trucks both 57. The Maroon one had some tricks that I haven't seen used and the grill might be a bit controversial to some but I liked it. I think I'd like it better if the background was black so the bar floated though. Tail lights were interesting too.

The Green 57 had a few tricks of it's own including tilt hood, 454 and a knock it out of the park interior. Interior was done by Clayton Wood of CoosBay Oregon according to the show board.

I don't normally take photos of vehicles with clutter in front of them or hanging off them. It appeared to be a box of T shirts from his company with one hanging on the door handle.

The pretty gal tried the car on for size. It has been in the owner's family for around 40 years and was used in parades all over the PNW.

The copper 71/ 72 was as nice a stone stock restored one of that model as you will ever find. Not one ding inside the be and it looked better than new showroom stock ever did.

A couple of OT trucks. The Studebaker looked to be stock.

The 1922 Flatbed. Was bought by a family member of the guy who was showing it at an equipment auction years ago after they had been unsuccessful in buying it from the business owner before that. For far less than they had offered for it before he said. Restored years ago and left to sit in the garage after the new wore off. He drug it out and cleaned it up an took it to the show. It is the only 1922 of that brand and model left that he can find. I didn't write the name down an my photo of the radiator isn't clear enough to read. He was fun because he was having a ball telling people about the truck.

For those who are brave or crazy enough. How about an under 10 ft speed boat with a 50 HP Merc on it? I didn't get the length but it is small.

The little red truck was parked in front of the famous See's Poulsbo bakery where Poulsbo bread originated an Donut mecca for the Area.

The painting of the AD headed to the mountains was in a gallery down town in a town full of galleries and spendy trinkets. I didn't get a price.

A local to Poulsbo area fishing boat design that was used by fishing resorts in the area years ago.

Normally we would have our boat tied up on the dock as this is one of our favorite spots to go with the boat.

That Nash Healey was something nice and the cool thing was that a high number of the spectators recognized that.

There were several "just cars' in the mix either new super cars or mid 60's mid 70's rides that were ok but for the most part had nothing special going on. I should have taken more photos of the copper and white 70/71 as that is at least a 98 point truck at national shows. I don't think there is a new truck of any brand on the showroom floor with the inside of the box as nice as the inside of the box and bed floor are on that truck. If you went by ISCA judging sheet scores it would have out scored every other restored rig out there.

My wife loves coming to this town and when the 48 is done she no doubt will be checking the schedule for the show here.

Very cool. I love the maroon '57 and I agree about too much chrome behind the center bar. But a very interesting combination for sure.

I appreciate the ones you posted. I love my truck but a 70-72 K20, 327, 4spd truck is on my bucket list of trucks.

That Nash Healey was something nice and the cool thing was that a high number of the spectators recognized that.

We have a local show which regularly has an original GT40 and an original and previously raced Shelby Cobra 427. Folks can't believe the GT40 is real and don't even bother looking at the Cobra because they assume it's a kit car or repro. The owner of these vehicles (same person for both cars) sits quietly on a folding chair between them and is happy to talk about either one or both without bragging and without pride. He's been there several years in a row and is very approachable. Very cool to experience.

That gives the guys who actually know what they are looking at more time to visit with the gent. A quick look at the dash of the 427 Cobra tells the tale with the Smiths gauges.

The show is an open show even though it lists it's self as a classic car show. Everything from a very Early Brush electric car that drew a lot of attention to a late model Challenger hemi with those gawd awful lights that go around the headlights in circles changing colors. I probably didn't take photos of half the cars entered simply they didn't appeal to me or weren't special enough to get that much of my attention. On the other hand there were some rare and some really interesting cars including an electric powered Porsche 911. I had about the Porsche during a discussion of electric conversions. He uses it as a daily driver and has a range of about 65 miles on a charge. He said he has put about 30K on it and it adds about 8.00 a month to his electri bill to charge it.
