Need parts.

I am needing two all black factory radio knobs for my AM radio.

Also, anyone know where I might be able to purchase a custom painted spare cover or even a vinyl one that is embossed. I want to keep my spare, a factory option you know, but want to cover it up...color matching with year, etc. on it.

Thanks!

Thanks RatRod. This is how I bought it from an old man. It's been painted in the past and someone has done a poor job of replacing the rockers, but otherwise it is untouched. I have been accumulating parts for a few months and hope this winter to start some re-hab on it. Here's another shot. Am considering blackwalls and spare cover...otherwise this is how it will look when complete also.

Are you needing just the two black plastic knobs or do you also need the chrome discs behind them? Think I have a set of the standard knobs and chrome discs behind them. Not sure about just having extra knobs. Will have to look in the shed.

My truck is the base model. The knobs for the lights and wipers are just plain black, no chrome. However, the knobs on my radio seem to have been swapped for an old impala's knobs. I would like for them to all match, just plain black.

Thanks!

Sorry but after checking the parts shed I do not have just the knobs by themselves. I have the complete set of dash knobs for a standard dash, consists of w/s washer knob with set screw, headlight knob or stem, both plain black radio knobs with correct chrome backing plates. One plate has the serrated edge with "keyed" center for the dial shaft, other plate has plane edge with round center for volume dial. $15 shipped if interested.

GMCNorton, Good looking rig. I like that green and the 4x4 looks bulky and massive.

Ironhorse, sorry but I need you to draw me a picture on your big chief tablet using crayons. So you have all four knobs and they all have the chromed centers? Are they in good shape? Another member just PM'ed me and may have some black ones. If not, and yours are all alike, I will take them.

Thanks!

The knobs I have are the black "standard cab" style with no stainless center. Behind these knobs on a stock radio set-up there is a chrome plated round washer, one of which goes on the left hand station dial shaft and the other goes on the right hand volume control shaft. The knobs are about 1 3/8" in dia. and the round washers are just over 1 1/2" in dia. One washer has smooth plain edge for the volume shaft, which has no bass or treble control. The other has a serrated edge for the station select shaft. Station select has a "keyed" flat in the center hole and the volume control is smooth round center. Hope that clears it up for you. All are in really nice condition, I think you would be quite satisfied. Let me know if interested in them.

72 shorty, I have a extra set of plain black knobs you can have for FREE. It's just 2 black plastic knobs. PM me with your mailing address and I'll send you a digital pic.

Bryan68Custom,

Good idea, I hadn't thought of that. If I found a fiberglass, plastic or metal one I could have it primed, painted and airbrushed something cool.

Thanks.
