AD Model
MARTINSR gave me an Ertl scale model AD panel truck piggy bank. Over the last week I undertook to make it a clone of my full-size panel, including a front and rear lowering job and satin black paint. Here's the before pics; compare it to my real truck!

That is just too cool. Nice work on tucking the wheels inside the fenders were they belong.

It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around. |

When I was building my 57 AMT released a model of a 55. Of course I bought it, painted it the same color as my truck, and set it up on display. My truck is powered by a smallblock with crossfire injection so when I was at a swap meet several years later and spotted a partial model of an '84 Vette with Crossfire I picked it up. I took the '55 off the shelf and proceeded to do an engine swap, going as far as matching the Vette engine to the truck transmission. Several years ago AMT released a '57 Chevy pickup model so I used the grille and hood ornament to convert the '55 to a '57.
Meanwhile the real truck languishes, waiting until I have time to install the Hydravac, OEM sway bar, and NVG4500.

I have six unbuilt kits of an AD that I hope to build someday in the different versions my truck has been since new, think it will be quite a project but fun as hell. Brian
