Best Floor Jack
My son has a 1972 C/10 Deluxe pickup , he needs a jack . What's the best and a safe floor jack for these trucks? All good suggestions welcome.

Re: Best Floor Jack
For the money, in my opinion, its hard to beat the Daytona series from Harbor Freight.
Snap-On actually sued them over the design. Snap-On lost. It is a professional quality floor jack, and I have seen them used in multiple service shops. Don't forget to get a good set of jack stands. -Russ Last edited by Greasey Harley; 12-17-2019 at 09:46 PM. |

Re: Best Floor Jack
I have a basic 2.5 ton from auto zone, nothing fancy
Safest jack is one that is also used with jack stands. Never go under a truck with just a jack. And always chalk the wheels. Be safe! One other saftey tip. If you take a wheel off slide it under the truck frame as an extra safety measure. RRM

Re: Best Floor Jack
I bought a 3 ton Arcan brand aluminum and steel floor jack from my local Costco store. I recommend it. I bought a cheap 3 ton Big Red jack before and now I much prefer the Arcan jack. The Arcan has a long handle, pumps up to full height with much fewer pumps, has a much larger pad that does the lifting, and has better and heavier duty wheels.

Re: Best Floor Jack
My dad, the aircraft maintenance chief, taught me that one. I have passed it along to my former in-laws and my sons. Excellent advice!!

Re: Best Floor Jack
Former in-laws? Did they forget to slide the spare under the truck?
