Carpet install - Glue?
I bought a carpet from Auto Custom Carpets. Thick pile with the attached jute backing and the floor has new sound deadener. I watched a carpet install video on you tube and they used spray can glue. I helped a buddy with an install a few years ago and we didn't use any glue and I think it turned out okay. What have others done?

Re: Carpet install - Glue?
Just put some in my 65 C10 the first part of November. I didn't use any glue. I figured that with mine having the SM420 transmission I may have to take the carpet back out someday, if I ever need to remove the transmission.

Ya I wonder what kind of mess it would make to pull off.

Re: Carpet install - Glue?
I did not use glue when I put carpet in my panel. With the bucket seats, sill rails and floor shifter boot, it was not coming up or moving.

Re: Carpet install - Glue?
I used the same carpet and just laid it in and it has been fine. I did set it in the sun on a warm day for a few hours to get it back to where it looked good after taking it out of the box. Been in there about 5 years now with out an issue.

Went in fine without glue. I'm impressed with the quality.
