70 lwb 3/5 drop questions

I am planning to do a front brake conversion with 2in lowering spindles this spring, and thought while I was at it I would add lower springs in the front and rear. I think I want to go with a total of 3" in the front and 5" in the rear.

I was curious if shock relocation and an adjustable panhard are necessary to pull off 5" drop coils in the rear.

And just for fun if you would like to post pics of your 67-72 with 3/5 drop I would be more than happy have a look.

With 5 inches of drop in the rear I would do the shock re locators and the long panhard bar. The long bar makes less side to side change during suspension travel and also lowers the roll center. Look at the stuff Nolimit engineering has. I have there stuff for the back of my 65 Suburban.

I agree with PGSigns! Get the longer panhard bar, relocate the shocks, and get proper length shocks. Stock replacement shocks will be compressed too much and have a stiff rebound in the rear.

Also a couple photos of my truck with 3.5/5 drop on 17's and on 15's.

Re: 70 lwb 3/5 drop questions

For shocks I am running the Belltech street performance shocks. They have worked well, have 30,000 miles on them now.
